Projects

TCR hosts a variety of ongoing art projects, including architectural investigations/collaborations, drop-in public works, and a Collaborator-in-Residence program.

Red Circle Animation Project: TCR’s flagship collaboration. Everyone who comes within our reach is invited to draw a “red circle” to be added to our ever-growing animation.

25¢ents: Drop tiny treasures in our mailbox to be added to our 25¢ wunder-rack. Write a story to go with it.

Lath Project: Make us a sculpture out of ourself. When fixing the place up, we tore out thin strips of wood from behind a lot of our walls. Take a bundle and make some art. All lath works will be installed in TCR.

Interview Booth: Open to any and all, the Interview Booth is a place to work together on that most prevalent form of collaboration; conversation. Over a pair of microphones, share questions, answers, stories, and legends with friends or strangers in our permanently installed booth. All interviews are recorded and cataloged in the TCR Interview Database (TCR ID).

Fireplace Installation: Our non-functional fireplace becomes more than functional as a rotating stage for inventive and site-specific works.

Hind Leg: The mismatched wood marking the lower Southeast corner of the house is the stage for our outdoor gallery space.

Collaborator-in-Residence: Every so often we invite an artist we admire to become a TCR Collaborator-in-Residence. Length of stay, available financing, and focus of residency may vary, but CIR’s generally work with TCR to create a gallery show, rethink certain aspects of the space, design new programming, or lead an ongoing series of workshops or performances.
